Meet Kasujja Lawrence

Meet Kasujja Lawrence, the brother of Stella and our newest sponsored child. Lawrence is 11 years old and like his sister he loves meat. Since losing his job, Lawrence and Stella’s father has had difficulty finding work especially amid the pandemic, and the money that he had saved for his children’s education has all been spent. This is further compounded by his failing health that he cannot seek treatment for because of cost constraints. He can no longer afford to send any of his children to school and having learned this we knew that it was up to us to find Lawrence a sponsor so that he could continue to go to school. We are happy to report that we were able to find Lawrence a sponsor thanks to Barbara and Aldo. With their help, Lawrence has not had to drop out of the boarding school that his family was once able to pay for and his father’s biggest fear has not come true. Lawrence has shared that his favorite subject is math and that he would like to be a plumber when he is older. Like his sister, when asked if he could have one thing in the world what would it be he responded “a car”. We are hopeful that one day Lawrence will lead by example and be the first in his family to own a car although, maybe not as powerful as Stella’s.
